welcome to Rose & Crown

The Rose & Crown at Slaley, a Community Owned Pub, featured in "The Guardian, Travel" as one of "The Fifty Best Pubs in Britain". In the heart of rural Slaley village, some 5 miles south of Hexham, the building dates back to 1675, is Grade 2 listed and has a traditional bar, separate dining room and two Bed and Breakfast rooms. It has been providing services to locals and visitors for over 300 years.

You will receive a warm welcome from our Manager, Tracey, and her team, serving you with food freshly cooked to order, complemented by a great selection of real ales and wines. Our chef offers a tasty menu selection with seasonal daily specials. Traditional Sunday lunch is also served.

Whether you want to make us your base for exploring the area or are simply looking for somewhere nice to eat, we look forward to seeing you at the Rose & Crown.
